Known limitations
- At the moment, our Slack integration only works with public channels. It is not possible to push maze updates to private channels or direct messages. If this is something you'd be interested in, please let our team know!
- The Slack integration currently only displays the first 1000 public channels, including archived channels.
How to connect Slack to Maze
To receive Slack notifications for a specific maze:
- Open the maze you'd like to connect to Slack. Depending on the publication status, open the Maze Builder (for draft mazes) or the Results dashboard (for live mazes).
- Click the Maze Settings gear icon in the top right.
- Scroll down to the 'Integrations' section.
- Next to 'Connect to Slack', click Connect.
- If needed, sign in to your Slack workspace.
- A Slack integration screen should appear. Here, you can review the required permissions. Click Allow to authorize the Maze integration in your workspace.
- After granting access, open the Maze Settings once again.
- Scroll down to the 'Integrations' section.
- In the Choose Slack channel... field, start typing the name of the channel. You will see a list of the public channels in your workspace. Select the channel you'd like to connect to.
Your maze is now connected to Slack. The channel you selected should receive updates automatically.
