The Maze integration for Slack allows you to get real-time updates in a Slack channel of your choice whenever someone completes mazes within a project.
You can enable our Slack integration either when building your maze, or when it's already live.

Known limitations
- The Slack integration only works with public channels. It isn't possible to push updates to private channels or direct messages. If this is something you'd be interested in, please let our team know.
- The integration currently only returns the first 1000 public channels created within your Slack instance, including archived channels. That means that, if your organization has more than 1000 public channels, you won't be able to set up the integration on newer channels. One potential workaround would be to repurpose an older channel, so that the integration can find and connect to that channel.
Connecting Slack to Maze
To receive Slack notifications for a specific maze:
- Open the project you'd like to connect to Slack.
- Open any maze inside that project, and open the Maze Settings () in the top right.
- Scroll down to the 'Integrations' section.
- Under 'Connect to Slack', click Connect.
- If needed, sign in to your Slack workspace.
- A Slack integration screen should appear. Here, you can review the required permissions. Click Allow to authorize the Maze integration in your workspace.
- After granting access, open the Maze Settings () again.
- Scroll down to the 'Integrations' section.
- In the Choose Slack channel... field, start typing the name of the channel. You'll see a list of the public channels in your workspace. Select the channel you'd like to connect.
Your maze is now connected to Slack. The channel you selected should receive updates automatically.
Disabling Slack notifications for a specific project
To disable the Slack integration on individual projects:
- Open your maze.
- Click the gear icon to open the Maze Settings ().
- Scroll down to the 'Integrations' section.
- Next to Connect to Slack, disable the toggle.
- Click Deactivate to confirm.
Disconnecting the Slack integration globally

- Navigate to Integrations.
- Click the Disconnect button next to the Slack integration.
- Click Deactivate to confirm.
