Known limitations
- The Slack integration only works with public channels. It isn't possible to push updates to private channels or direct messages. If this is something you'd be interested in, please let our team know.
Connecting Slack to Maze
To receive Slack notifications for a specific study:
- Open the project containing the study that you'd like to connect to Slack.
-
Open the study that you'd like to connect and open the Maze Settings in the top right.
- Scroll down to the Integrations section.
-
Under 'Connect to Slack', either click Connect (if it's you're first time using the integration) or toggle the switch to on and from the dropdown, select the channel you'd like to send updates to.
-
If this is the first time using the Slack integration, you'll click Connect. A Slack integration page should appear. Here, you can review the required permissions. Click Allow to authorize the Maze integration in your workspace.
- After granting access, open the Maze Settings again.
- Scroll down to the 'Integrations' section.
- In the Choose Slack channel... field, start typing the name of the channel. You'll see a list of the public channels in your workspace. Select the channel you'd like to connect. Your maze is now connected to Slack. The channel you selected should receive updates automatically.
