Right-to-Left (RTL) Language Support in Maze

Last updated: May 13, 2026

Maze provides partial support for Right-to-Left (RTL) languages across different study types. Here's what is currently supported:

What RTL Language Features Are Supported

  • Content Creation: RTL languages can be written into study content when creating your studies

  • Audio Transcription: RTL languages can be transcribed from audio recordings

Current Limitations

Maze does not currently offer a proper RTL interface layout for any study type, including:

  • Unmoderated studies

  • AI moderated studies

  • Moderated studies

This means that while you can include RTL text content in your studies and have RTL audio transcribed, the overall interface and layout will not adapt to RTL reading patterns and visual flow.

Workaround

If you need to conduct studies with RTL language speakers, you can still create effective studies by writing your content in RTL languages within the existing interface structure, keeping in mind that participants will need to navigate the left-to-right interface layout.
