Why am I getting a "Duplicated pages" error when I try to launch my study live?

Last updated: April 19, 2026

Overview

When you launch an unmoderated study live, we run a final validation check to make sure there are no unexpected issues that could affect your participant experience. If there is an issue, we will prevent the study from going live. One such error reads Duplicated pages This error occurs when the same screen gets synced from your prototype multiple times for an unknown reason.

Solution

We're still working to identify why this issue occurs so we can introduce a more permanent solution that doesn't require duplication. Until then, this solution should enable you to proceed with launching your test live.

Thankfully, there's an easy solution to this problem: if you duplicate the affected study, it will generally fix any data inconsistencies.

We would recommend reviewing your task blocks to ensure that your expected paths are still as you'd intended, since any paths using the affected screens could potentially need to be rebuilt. Once you've verified it looks good, you should be able to launch the duplicate study live and delete the original broken one.

If you continue to experience this issue even with the duplicated study, please contact Support and we'd be glad to troubleshoot further.
