Why do I see an "Email already used" error when updating my email address?

When updating your email address in your personal settings, you may run into the following error:

Your information hasn’t been updated: Email already used

This happens if you’ve entered an email address that’s already being used by another Maze account.

Solution

If you see this error:

  • Use a different email address
  • To use the email address you originally intended, first, you’ll need to either update the email address on that Maze account, or delete that account. This will free up the email address that you intend to use.
