Sharing Clips recordings is a great way to share key customer insights with your team and stakeholders.
This guide walks you through the steps for sharing individual clips, as well as highlight reels of selected recordings. This will help you communicate your findings effectively.

Share an individual clip
To share a single clip, open the relevant Clip from the Results dashboard, either from the Results or Participants tab. Learn more about finding Clips data in the results dashboard
From the Results tab, navigate to the Responses section on the right hand side and click the Share clip icon for the Clip you'd like to share. Within the Share modal, set your desired settings and click Copy link to share the Clip.
From the Participants tab, select a participant from the left panel and click the Clips icon beneath the Clips recording. Within the popup, click the Share clip icon beneath the Clips recording. Click the Copy link icon from the top bar to share the Clip.
In the share modal:
- Start clip at allows you to define a specific timestamp to start the clip, if needed.
- The privacy settings allow you to choose whether the clip share link should be accessible only by members of your team, or by anyone with the link.
How to create a Highlight from Clips
Highlights let you save key quotes and non-verbal reactions (ie: confusion, delight, frustration). Highlights can be created from anywhere you see your Clips transcripts and you can create highlights from either the Results or Participants tab from Results page.
Highlights can be shared via direct link, embedding in other tools, or downloaded as video files. Highlights enable context preservation when sharing since you can watch the clip and see the related block responses alongside it.

Share all clips for an entire block or participant
To share every clip that relates to a specific block, open the block in the Results dashboard, scroll down to the Responses section, click Share and select All Clips.
Likewise, you can also share every clip that relates to a specific participant. To do so, select the participant in the Participants tab in the Results dashboard, click Share and select Session recording.
This will generate a highlight reel that includes all participant recordings available for that particular block or participant.
How Clips share links appear to viewers
When you share a link to a Clip, your stakeholders and/or team members will be able to view it in full-screen.
You can access the sharing settings in the upper right corner:
- Private: Only members of your team can access
- Public: Anyone with the link can access
If someone outside of your Maze team attempts to open a private share link, they’ll see the following error:
