Archiving a project is helpful if you no longer need to actively access it, and want to declutter your list of projects.
If you want to stop testers from seeing your test without archiving it, you can also stop recording new results.
If you’re on the Free plan, you can archive projects. However, viewing and unarchiving requires a paid plan.
In this article:
What happens when I archive a project?
- Participants are no longer able to access any mazes within that project.
- All collaborators are removed from the project.
- Any active panel orders are stopped, and unused credits will be returned to your credit balance.
- The project will be listed under the ‘Archived’ toggle on your projects page.
- It’s still possible to view all the mazes inside the project.
- It’s still possible to access the results data and the report.
Archiving a project
If you’re on the Organization plan, you can also archive projects in bulk in the workspace page.
To archive a project:
- Click the Actions (•••) menu in the project thumbnail.
- In the drop-down, select Archive.
- Click Archive project to confirm.
If you’re on the Free plan, you’ll be warned that you’ll lose access to that project.
You can also find the Archive/Unarchive option in the Project settings ().
Unarchiving a project
Archiving is available for all plan types so that you can work on other active projects without having to delete your projects. However, the option to unarchive is limited to paid plans.
If you’ve previously archived a project but want to work on it again, and you’re on a paid plan, you can unarchive it. This will restore all live maze tests.
Here’s how you do it:
- In the projects view (https://app.maze.co/projects), navigate to the Archived tab to view the archived projects.
- Open the project you want to unarchive.
- Click the gear icon () to open the Project settings.
- Click Unarchive.
