Transcripts are automatically generated provided that a Clip has audio. This streamlines the research process by providing native transcript support for unmoderated studies, helping you extract insights more efficiently from participant video and audio content.

Troubleshooting Clip transcripts
While our transcription technology is robust, there are certain situations where transcript generation may not be possible.
Clip Duration Too Short
Issue: Clips under 2 seconds in length cannot be transcribed
Reason: This is a technical limitation of our transcription provider, which requires a minimum audio duration to process speech accurately
No Audio Detected
Issue: No transcript generated when audio is absent
Reason: The clip may contain only visual content, or audio recording may have failed during the session
Poor Audio Quality
Issue: Transcription fails due to audio clarity issues
Reason: Background noise, low volume, unclear speech, or technical audio problems prevent accurate transcription processing
Disable automatically generated transcripts
If you are the Owner or Admin of a Business or Enterprise plan, you can control transcript functionality through the Control Panel within your Team Settings.
- Navigate to Admin Control Panel
- Locate the AI Transcripts setting
- Toggle the setting to enable or disable transcripts for both:
- Unmoderated study clips
- Moderated study sessions
