All Maze subscriptions renew automatically, either monthly or annually, depending on the billing option you selected when upgrading.
To stop the automatic renewal and cancel your paid plan, please follow the steps in this article.

Before you start
- Only the team owner can cancel a paid plan. If you’re a member of the team and can’t find this option, reach out to the owner of the team.
- After the cancellation, your team will become inactive, and all data inaccessible. If you have any data in your projects that you think you may need, please export your results data before canceling.

What happens when you cancel your paid subscription
The cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing cycle.
On that date, your team will automatically become inactive. This means that all features and project data will be locked. You’ll need to reactivate the team to access that data again.
If you have any data in your projects that you think you may need, please export your results data before canceling.
If you’re currently benefitting from legacy pricing, you’ll only retain it for as long as you remain on that paid plan. If you downgrade your account and re-upgrade later, the most recent pricing will be applicable.
How to cancel your paid subscription
To cancel your paid plan:
- Ensure the relevant team is selected in the drop-down in the top left corner.

Hover over Settings () at the bottom left corner of the side navigation, and click Team settings.
- Open the Plan tab.
- At the bottom of the Plan page, click Cancel subscription.
- Review the summary of what’ll happen upon cancellation, including the effective date of cancellation, and click Continue.
- Select your main reason for canceling and click Continue to cancel to complete the process.
The cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing cycle.
Why can’t I find the “Cancel subscription” button?
First, please make sure that the correct team is selected.
If you still can’t find the option to cancel, that likely means that your subscription isn’t currently active. This can happen if the account is in a past-due status (for example, due to an unpaid invoice), or because of a billing issue.
The Cancel subscription button only appears for active subscriptions.
If you would like to cancel your subscription but can’t find this option, please contact our Support team so they can cancel it for you.
What happens if the owner of the team is no longer available?
Sometimes, the team owner may no longer be available to follow these steps. For example, if they’ve left the company.
If that is the case, please contact our Support team for help.
