Demo project
When you create a Maze account, you’ll see a demo project. This includes an unmoderated study where you can explore premium features, and preview the results you can achieve.
You can rename or delete the demo project. However, you won’t be able to edit the demo maze or create additional studies inside that project.
Maze trial
Newly created accounts are in a trial state upon creation.
During the trial period, you can create up to 3 studies (i.e. mazes or interview studies) free of charge.
During the trial, you can try out all of Maze’s premium features to help you get the most out of your research. To learn more about the available plans and features, please see maze.co/pricing
Are there features not included in the trial?
The following premium features aren’t included in the trial:
- Archiving and unarchiving projects
- Adding collaborators to a project
- Moderated panel
- Reach
- SSO
- Workspaces
Additionally, during the trial you can only add up to 5 team members.
When does the trial end?
The trial ends automatically after 30 days.
What happens after the trial?
At the end of your trial, your account switches to the Free plan with limited features.
From this point onwards:
1) No premium features
After the downgrade, all Free plan limitations apply, and you lose access to premium features.
2) Interview studies
An interview study can’t be the fourth study you create on a trial.
If you’ve created interview studies during the trial, you can no longer recruit participants or add sessions.
3) Mazes
If you have any ongoing maze drafts:
- You can still continue using premium blocks that you had previously added.
- You can’t add more premium blocks or access comments.
- If you’ve enabled Clips, they’ll remain on.
- Maze drafts can still be set live.
To continue using premium features, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan.
